Choose with careThe natural word is 守護神, three characters. Any two-character version names either the protecting or the spirit but not both, so decide which half matters more.
At small sizesAround twenty strokes then eight. 護 is the problem - its two halves crowd each other, and it needs generous size to stay open.
Cultural note護法 guard the teaching rather than a person. They are protective figures, but not yours personally, and a Buddhist reader will know that.
