Before you commit
Choose with care族 is broad. It covers family line, ethnic group and, in modern slang, any social type at all, from 上班族 office workers to 追星族 fans. It does not read as tribe in the anthropological sense on its own.

Cultural note民族 is nation or ethnic group and 家族 is an extended family. 族 alone leaves it to the reader to decide which scale you meant.
