Choose with care墓 is a burial plot and nothing more. Chinese does not read it as poetic the way English can read tomb - it is the word on a cemetery form.
At small sizesFourteen strokes over an earth radical at the base. Bottom-heavy, and it holds its shape small better than 墳 does.
Cultural note陵 is used only of emperors and national figures. Applied to an ordinary person it reads as grandiose, or as sarcasm.
