Before you commit
Choose with care慰 is nearly always a verb — to comfort someone else. Standing alone as a noun meaning solace it reads slightly unfinished.
Pairs well with慰 + 藉 gives the noun and 安 + 慰 gives the verb. Either resolves the incompleteness of the single character.
