Two versions of the same picture, and both are free with no account and no watermark. The first has no background at all, which is the one to send your artist — but a phone or computer photo viewer set to dark will show black strokes on dark grey and it can look like nothing downloaded. Choose with care楓 alone is just the species. The red-leaf image that makes maple worth wearing lives in 楓葉 or 紅葉.
Japanese楓 is kaede and 紅葉 is momiji, both saturated with Japanese autumn imagery. A Japanese viewer will read them that way first.
At small sizesThirteen strokes with an enclosed right side that can fill in. Keep it above a couple of centimetres.
