Two versions of the same picture, and both are free with no account and no watermark. Choose with careThere is no single character for lover. 戀人 is the clean choice, but it reads as young and romantic rather than lifelong; 伴侶 is the word for a settled partner.
JapaneseJapanese writes the same pair as 恋人 (koibito) with a simplified first character. The traditional 戀人 will read as Chinese or as deliberately old script.
At small sizes戀 alone is twenty-three strokes and crowds badly. With 人 beside it the contrast is stark, so allow generous size.
