Choose with care無望 is closer to a sober assessment than to a feeling, and it usually attaches to a thing — 復原無望, no hope of recovery. Alone it reads as incomplete.

Cultural noteChinese distinguishes 無望 (no prospect) from 絕望 (hope severed). Picking the wrong one changes a factual statement into a cry.
