Before you commit
Choose with care恕 is somewhat literary and appears mostly in set phrases, such as 恕我直言, forgive my bluntness. It is understood, but 寬恕 is the everyday noun.

Cultural noteIn the Analects 恕 is named as the single word one can practise for a lifetime, and Confucius glosses it on the spot as 己所不欲，勿施於人. That 恕 is closer to putting yourself in the other person's place than to pardoning them; the word for pardoning is 寬恕.
